DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 7
High Salary PG
Stephen Curry-Golden State Warriors (10,600): Curry had one of his worst games of the season yesterday against the Lakers scoring just 18 points and finishing with just 32 fantasy points in 34 minutes. He will be fired up and ready to bounce back tonight against an Orlando team he tallied 76.25 fantasy points against in their last meeting. Curry had 51 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in his 34 minutes in that game, and he’ll be motivated to erase yesterday’s defeat. Look for him to pile up the points tonight in the late game as long as yesterday was just the one game outlier most think it was and not a result of him playing through an ankle injury he should be resting. ∗∗∗
Chris Paul-Los Angeles Clippers (9,700): Paul is a cheaper alternative to Curry tonight as he leads the Clippers to Dallas in a rivalry further stoked by the DeAndre drama this past offseason. CP3 has posted seven double-doubles in his last eight games and has at least 50 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He is carrying the Clippers offense with Blake Griffin out, and he will be playing a Mavericks team that played an OT game last night in Denver. Fatigue could definitely be a factor for Dallas who may also decide to rest players, so look for Paul to produce another solid stat line tonight.∗∗
Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,000): The Timberwolves have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG giving Walker one of the best matchups of the day. He has been rolling lately with at least 41 fantasy points in four of his last five games and a solid 53 fantasy points against the Pacers on Friday in his last game when he scored 33 points to go with ten assists. Walker should be in attack mode early and often against a beatable Minnesota defense, so expect him to pile up the fantasy points tonight. He could end up being a better points-per-dollar play than both Curry and Paul based on matchup, and he saves you money to spend elsewhere. ∗∗∗∗
Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (7,700): Another good matchup to attack tonight is the Kings defense which has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. Holiday is the more dynamic of the Pelicans point guards even though he is still coming off the bench behind Norris Cole. Eric Gordon re-injured his finger on Saturday which opens up a ton of time for Holiday as evidenced by the 37 minutes he played against Utah in that game. He has at least 35 fantasy points in seven of his last ten games, and has handed out at least seven assists in nine of his last ten. His scoring ticked down a bit with Gordon’s return, but it should be back up as he picks up the extra shots and minutes. In tonight’s matchup, I like Holiday to be one of the big scorers for the Pelicans in a high-scoring game in the Bayou. If starting-∗∗∗∗∗ If coming off the bench-∗∗∗∗
