The thought of LeBron playing on the same team as Kyle Korver makes you absolutely giddy if you are a fan of pace and space. While I’m not sure LeBron would really go to another relatively small market like Atlanta, the basketball fit would be off the charts.

Remember that Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer is a San Antonio Spurs disciple. The math doesn’t work for James to head south to play for Gregg Popovich, but Coach Bud would be the next best thing. He could really leverage James’ talents in unique ways to create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates.

The Hawks also have an interesting core that could be really dynamic if everyone comes back. They could trot out a starting five of Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, LeBron James, Paul Millsap and Al Horford. That lineup has more than enough juice to win the Eastern Conference and if it gelled the right way, could challenge the Western Conference elite as well.

Just imagine the match-up nightmare of LeBron running a screen-and-roll on one side with Horford while Korver spots up on the wing. It would be an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses. I may be dreaming with the thought that King James could head to the ATL, but from a basketball standpoint it’s a great fit.
