High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,600): KD has been crushing it lately with at least 57 fantasy points in six straight games. He has put up a double-double in each of the those contests with over 25 points and at least five assists.  He had 66 fantasy points on Sunday in OKC’s last game against the Bucks.  Tonight, he faces the Clippers who he had 30 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and five blocks against last week (61.26 fantasy points). He is one of the best expensive plays of the night as he and the Thunder return home and try to get their ship righted after a few struggles since the break.

LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (9,900): LeBron doesn’t come into tonight’s game with the form that Durant has been showing off lately, but he is in a great matchup against the Kings who allow the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF. James had strong words for his team after their loss against the Grizz, and I think he’ll step up and lead by example with a big game tonight.  Remember, James had a triple-double against the Kings when they meat earlier this season with 21 points, ten rebounds, ten assists, two steals, and a block in just 31 minutes. ∗∗∗

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (8,700): Antetokounmpo has been exploding lately which is why his price has climbed all the way to over 8K. “The Alphabet” has at least 40 fantasy points in eight of his ten games since the All Star break and has posted over 65 fantasy points in three of his last five games.  He is playing more of a play-maker role with the Bucks’ recent injury outbreak, and he has at least ten assists in four of his last five. He is a triple-double threat every night and should be lined up for another big night against Miami tonight.  Joe Johnson and Luol Deng won’t be able to do much to slow down the “Greek Freak” so roll with him tonight if you can fit his quickly-growing salary under your cap. ∗∗∗

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (6,900): Hayward is a solid mid-range option as he and the Jazz try to take down the Warriors in Oakland tonight.  Hayward ha scored at least 21 points in seven of Utah’s ten games since the break averaging 21.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.4 steals. He will be very involved tonight against Golden State who he had one good game and one bad game against Golden State earlier this year which makes him a little risky, but his recent form makes him the best non-elite play unless you go cheap.

Robert Covington-Philadelphia 76ers (6,100): Covington continues to be a roller-coaster of production this season, but he’s in a great matchup tonight against the Rockets who give up more fantasy points to opposing SF than any other team in the NBA. Covington’s production has been trading the right way with over 31 fantasy points in three straight contests as he earns himself a more regular role in the Sixers rotation.  Covington only had nine points on Sunday against Miami but chipped in enough non-scoring stats to get to 31.75 fantasy points. When he’s at his best, he can produce across-the-board numbers to make him worth owning, and in this matchup tonight I think he definitely has the potential to go off.

Tobias Harris-Detroit Pistons (6,000): Harris has been a great play for DFS since joining the Pistons and continues to be a solid producer on a nightly basis for Detroit.  Since joining Detroit at the trade deadline, Harris has averaged 16.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting over 50% and playing over 33 minutes per night.  His playing time has been even higher recently due to injuries to Stanley Johnson and Anthony Tolliver, and he has continued to turn in very steady and solid fantasy numbers.  He has at least 29 fantasy points in six of his last seven contests, and he should be able to have another good game tonight as the Pistons travel to Dallas to take on the Mavs.
