High Value SF

Rudy Gay-Sacramento Kings (5,900): Gay’s price dropping below 6K makes him a nice value to consider tonight as he faces the Cavs and LeBron James. He looked good against the Pelicans on Monday playing 41 minutes and totaling 18 points and ten boards for 37.5 fantasy points. Gay has at least 29 fantasy points in five of his last eight games, and I think he’ll return value in an up-tempo, high-scoring game in Sacramento tonight.

Tony Allen-Memphis Grizzlies (4,500): Allen returns to Boston tonight as the Grizz limp into Benton.  Allen returned form his own injury just in time to play in the Grizzlies short-handed win over the Cavs.  He scored 26 points and finished with an amazing 46 fantasy points in that contests as the focus of the Memphis attack.  He’s not known as an offensive threat, so don’t expect him to duplicate that performance. However, at his mid-4K price he’s a solid play since he should continue to get tons of minutes for the short-handed Grizzlies tonight.

Lance Stephenson-Memphis Grizzlies (4,400): Allen’s teammate Lance Stephenson has been one of the best values on the board lately, but his price is starting to rise since it appears he’s found a productive role in Memphis.  Stephenson has at least 12 points in seven of his last nine games since joining the Grizz and has at least 20 fantasy points in six of those contests.  He had 17 points and seven boards against the Cavs and finished with a nice 33.25 fantasy points. His production is actually a little more sustainable than Allen’s, and I think he’s a nice option tonight as well in Boston in what should be an interesting early game on ESPN.

Corey Brewer-Houston Rockets (3,800): Brewer is a boom-or-bust option at SF who has been getting good playing time in the Rockets small ball attack. Brewer had 23 points in 29 minutes in Toronto on Sunday and has at least 23 fantasy points in three of his last five contests including that game when he totaled 34. If the Rockets do blow out the Sixers, Brewer could get some extra time, but he has been seeing 20+ minutes on the floor and offering some solid fantasy numbers making him a cheap play with upside if you have to save salary at a forward spot tonight. ∗∗
