High Value PG

Norris Cole-New Orleans Pelicans (5,700): Cole is considered questionable for tonight, so make sure he’s cleared to play before rosters lock at 7:00, but if he does give it a go he has one of the highest ceilings of the players under 6K tonight.  Cole played through a similar questionable tag on Monday and finished with 45.4 fantasy points against the Kings on 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals in his 40 minutes.  Cole is going to get a ton of time if his back can handle it, and he’ll be a good play the rest of the way with Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans done for the season. The injury makes him a bit risky, but if he plays he’s worth a look.

Mario Chalmers-Memphis Grizzlies (5,300): EVERYONE will be in on Chalmers tonight even though there are so many options.  He played 41 minutes in his start on Monday against the Cavs and hit the game-winning shot as part of his 37.3 fantasy points on 17 points, seven assists, four rebounds, and four steals.  The Celtics do defend opposing PG very well, but Chalmers’ recent form has been excellent. He will get all the time he can handle for Memphis tonight while Mike Conley is out, and he has shown he can fill up the box score when he’s one of the primary options on offense. In a vacuum, he’s an incredible play, but don’t think you’re going to sneak up and grab him at a low ownership percentage tonight.

Jerryd Bayless-Milwaukee Bucks (4,300): While I don’t love Bayless’s matchup tonight (the Heat are very good against opposing PG), he is a player worth watching closely the rest of the season now the Michael Carter-Williams has been shelved.  Bayless played 38 minutes on Monday in Chicago for the Bucks and finished with 30.4 fantasy points on 20 points, four assist, two rebounds, and a steal.  He has at least 20 fantasy points in three of his five games back, and he has a ton of potential moving forward especially once the Bucks get to some of the softer teams on their schedule in the coming weeks. He’s risky tonight only because of the matchup, but he has the potential to match ‘Rio’s numbers if he gets as much playing time as he did on Monday and is involved in Milwaukee’s new Giannis-centered attack.
