High Salary PF

Derrick Favors-Utah Jazz (7,600): Favors is a tricky play to analyze especially in a matchup against the Warriors where his minutes could be limited by Golden State’s small-ball attack. He played well in the Jazz’s two previous games with Golden State posting 23 points and ten boards in Utah and 17 points and nine rebounds just before Christmas in Golden State, but both those games were in the absence of Rudy Gobert.  I’m not sure Utah can play both Favors and Gobert against the small-ball lineups GS rolls out which makes Favors high-risk tonight. On the other hand, Favors has posted some big games lately including a clinic on Saturday against the Pelicans when he had 28 points, 11 rebounds, six blocks, and three assists for 56.7 fantasy points. He’s the most expensive PF I’d consider tonight, but you have to realize there’s a real boom-or-bust play if you roll with him.

Kevin Love-Cleveland Cavaliers (6,800): Love has been a disappointment lately, but he did have a double-double for 29.7 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Monday. He has only reached 30 fantasy points once in his last four games, but he’s in a good matchup against the Kings in what I think will be a high-scoring game.  When the Cavs are at their best, Love is involved, but he looks “absent” at times when he struggles. He’s risky tonight, but there is upside to like against the Kings who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing PF.

Jabari Parker-Milwaukee Bucks (6,800): While Antetokounmpo has been grabbing the headlines and having the monster games, Parker has been on quite a roll of his own with at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last five games including a strong 18-point, 11-rebound double-double against the Bulls on Monday.  The Heat are thin up front without Chris Bosh which should be a good matchup for Parker to attack tonight. Especially with the injury questions and playing time issues amounts the other PF plays, Parker stands out as one that can likely produce good numbers tonight.
