The Denver Broncos are facing the harsh reality of not having a starting quarterback. Here are five players they should target now that Brock Osweiler left.

The Denver Broncos may have won Super Bowl 50, but they’re having a miserable day as free agency opens. Not only is defensive end Malik Jackson leaving the organization for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Peyton Manning’s supposed replacement at starting quarterback Brock Osweiler just skipped town to sign with the Houston Texans.

Denver’s window to win a Super Bowl slammed shut with the mass exodus of its star players after the 2015 NFL season, leaving general manager and former star quarterback John Elway with only problems and no solutions. Is he really going to consider starting former Northwestern Wildcat Trevor Siemian under center in 2016?

Probably not, so do expect the Broncos to appropriately address the losses of both Manning and Osweiler either in free agency or in the 2016 NFL Draft. Denver may have had a stranglehold on the AFC West for the last half decade, but the Kansas City Chiefs are a team capable of orchestrating a deep playoff run in the AFC and the Oakland Raiders are about to become a very good up-and-coming football team in the AFC.

With panic in the air in the Mile High City, what are the Broncos going to do now that Osweiler spurned them for the Texans? Here are five replacements the Broncos could consider to be their next starting quarterback for the 2016 NFL season.
