73.
This is the Knicks’ pick that is destined for Toronto, but Denver owns a pick swap with New York, so they’ll end up taking the higher of the available selections between themselves and the Knicks.

This is a difficult spot for Denver as the best remaining player on the board is Providence’s Kris Dunn, but after drafting Emmanuel Mudiay to play the point guard spot last year, Dunn would be an awkward selection. The Nuggets also don’t have any particularly glaring holes that need to be filled, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them package this pick for a player that could be impactful immediately.

If Denver does end up keeping the pick, Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield would be a nice fit for a roster that could use another scoring option. Hield is an efficient, high-volume scorer who primarily generates offense from behind the three-point arc where he’s attempted 53.1 percent of his shots as a senior. He is one of just three players since 2009-10 to average 25 points per game while posting a true shooting percentage higher than 60 percent. Hield’s quick release and compact shooting motion also allows him to get off shots in a hurry and makes him a dangerous transition player.

Although Hield isn’t known as an outstanding individual defender, he has been a competent team defender on an Oklahoma squad that ranks in the top 20 in adjusted defensive efficiency according to <a href=. SG. Oklahoma. Buddy Hield. 7. player
