High Value PF

Tristan Thompson-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,900): Another cheap PF option to check out tonight is T2 of the Cavs who had a great game last night posting 18 points and 15 boards against the Kings for a huge 39.25 fantasy points. He has at least 23 fantasy points in four of his last five games which makes him a value consideration tonight against a Lakers team that allows the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers which is where Thompson has been playing for Cleveland this season. He got some extra run since Timofey Mozgov was out with an illness, and Thompson will be a great play of Mozgov is out again tonight. With Mozgov-∗ No Mozgov-

Taj Gibson-Chicago Bulls (4,600): Gibson has been logging big minutes in his last two games and should be ready for another 35+ minutes tonight with Bobby Portis a gametime call and Jimmy Butler out. Gibson had a solid double-double on Monday against Milwaukee totaling 36 fantasy points on 12 points and ten boards.  His matchup against the Spurs defense in San Antonio is the only hesitation I have with Taj tonight although there should be plenty of work down low since the Spurs are looking more and more to LaMarcus Aldridge for their offense.∗∗

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (4,100): Mirotic will help pick up some of the offense with Jimmy Butler out, and he looked strong in his last game scoring 14 points to go with six rebounds, three assists, and a steal in just 20 minutes. He had 31.5 fantasy points in that contest reminding us of the upside he has shown offensively at times this season.  His playing time still isn’t all the way ramped up, but he should be on the floor enough tonight to be a high-risk, high-reward value play even in a tough matchup against the Spurs.

Jason Thompson-Toronto Raptors (3,200): Thompson started on Tuesday against the Nets and had nine points, five boards, a steal, and two blocks in his 24 minutes.  He will likely return to the bench tonight as Luis Scola is expected to return, but Thompson may have done enough to earn some minutes for Toronto who is still searching for an answer at PF.  Jason Thompson is a high-risk flier unless he is confirmed to be starting agin tonight against the Hawks. If starting-∗ not starting-
