High Salary PF

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,000): Millsap’s production has been up and down throughout the last eight games with over 44 fantasy points in four contests but under 25 in three of the other games.  He had 52.1 fantasy points in a monster game on Saturday against the Clippers with 20 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  He followed that up with a solid 35.8 fantasy points against his former team, the Jazz, on Tuesday with 18 points, nine boards, and three steals.  Millsap had a decent game against Toronto in their earlier meeting this season with 14 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals, but if owners are going to sink 8K into him tonight they’ll be expecting a bigger game. The Raptors changed their starter at PF in their last game going with recently-signed Jason Thompson over Luis Scola.  Neither one of those players should be able to slow down Millsap, so look for a solid game from the Hawks big man tonight. He has the potential to go for 50, but he’s risky since he could also end up with only 20 fantasy points and it wouldn’t be a total shocker.

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (7,900): Aldridge led the way for the Spurs on Tuesday scoring 29 points in 29 minutes and adding in seven rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and a steal for 53.4 fantasy points. He has at least 37 fantasy points in five straight games with 40+ in three of those performances including his explosion on Tuesday.  The Bulls have struggled with their interior defense all season, so look for another big game from LA tonight.

Kenneth Faried-Denver Nuggets (6,800): Faried has six double-doubles in his last seven games and has apparently rediscovered his “Manimal” form from a few season ago when he seemed to be a nightly double-double lock. He has over 30 fantasy points in each of those six double-double games highlighted by a monster 25-point, 20-rebound game against the Mavericks.  He should be able to be active again tonight although he will have to deal with the size of Alex Len and Tyson Chandler in the Suns big lineup. Faried’s minutes are still not out of control, and since he only played 28 minutes Tuesday against the Knicks he should still be fresh enough to turn in a good stat line tonight.
