For a wacky as the Sacramento Kings have been the last decade plus, one has to believe that moving to brand new Golden 1 Center in Downtown Sacramento will force the Kings’ front office to bring in a few marquee players to finally field a competitive roster.

With the enigmatic center DeMarcus Cousins as the cornerstone of the franchise, might the Kings look at acquiring a young backcourt player in Beal in free agency? Even if the Kings retain the evil genius Rajon Rondo at point guard, Beal has shown a great ability in his NBA career to coexist with a talented, albeit frustrating point guard in Wall with the Wizards.

Beal has played his entire NBA career for a talented, but a high-end dysfunctional organization in Washington. Moving to Northern California to play for the most chaotic team in the NBA the last decade shouldn’t be all that difficult of a transition for Beal. He’ll probably make the team better as their starting shooting guard in the process.

Sacramento seems like they already have some interesting pieces on their roster. If they can upgrade they players out on the wing, there’s a chance that the Kings could field a competitive team when they begin play at Golden 1 Center next season. One has to believe that is the primary goal for the 2016-17 NBA season for the Kings. Signing Beal away from Washington in NBA free agency this June would go a long way in helping Sacramento reach that lofty goal next season.
