High Value SG

Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (5,900): Fournier comes into tonight’s matchup with the Kings looking to score 20 points for his third straight game after finishing with 30.75 and 32.5 fantasy points in his last two contests.  The Kings have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing SF this season and the fifth-most over their last five games. Fournier should be near 30 fantasy points again tonight which would be enough to make him a very good value at under 6K.

Zach LaVine-Minnesta Timberwolves (5,900): The T-Wolves are showing plenty of promise this season and are giving LaVine a ton of time as the season winds down.  LaVine played a massive 45 minutes on Monday and bounced back for 36 more the following night.  He has at least 20 fantasy points in seven straight games with 30 fantasy points or more in six of those seven.  He will get as much playing time tonight as he can handle against the Thunder who he torched for 35 points the last time these teams met at the end of January.  Look for a high-scoring game tonight in Oklahoma City with the Thunder again struggling to defend the young and aggressive LaVine.

Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,800): Wiggins has scored at least 20 points in each of his last three games and is adding much more non-scoring production now that he has slid to SF (in real life not on DK where everyone is a SG not a SF).  He has over 34 fantasy points in each of his last three games as a result, and should be set up for success in a shootout in OKC tonight. Wiggins averaged 22.3 points in his three meetings with the Thunder earlier this year, and should be good for at least 20 points with nice peripherals tonight against Durant and the Thunder. ∗∗

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,000): Caldwell-Pope has posted at least 20 fantasy points in five of his last six games and seven of his last nine.  He is getting a ton of playing time for coach Stan Van Gundy and has started to find his offensive rhythm again in the last few games.  He had 16 points against the Blazers on Sunday finishing with 30.25 fantasy points and almost matched that exactly with 30.75 fantasy points against here Mavs on Wednesday. KCP is in a good matchup tonight against the Hornets in what I think will be the highest scoring early game, so look for another solid night from Caldwell-Pope.

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,900): Redick dropped 22 points for the second straight game on Wednesday against OKC and finished with over 23 fantasy points for the seventh time in his last eight contests.  He probably won’t go off against New Yrok tonight since he doesn’t have the non-scoring stats that would be ideal for a monster night, but he is a very solid play who is low-risk since he almost always gets his points while the Clippers are without Blake Griffin.

E’Twaun Moore-Chicago Bulls (4,200): Don’t get so caught up in chasing all the Grizzlies value that you miss a nice option from a team with a little bit more to work with tonight.  The Bulls got good news on Jimmy Butler but he’s still just questionable for tonight.  Moore has been playing well in his absence putting up 28.75 fantasy points against the Bucks and 38 fantasy points against the Spurs in his last two games. He had 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists in 36 minutes against the Spurs last night and will get plenty of time again tonight if Butler is out. With Butler-∗ No Butler-

Hollis Thompson-Philadelphia 76ers (4,000): Thompson is another good value play since he’s getting so much time in the current Sixers rotation.  He has played at least 30 minutes in each of his last three games and has scored ten points or more in each of his last six full contests (non-injury shortened).  He has 22 fantasy points or more in four of those six games including posting 31.5 fantasy points against the Heat.  Since the Nets allow the fourth-most of in the NBA to opposing SG, Thompson should be a good cheap play tonight. ∗∗∗
