High Value PF

JaMychal Green-Memphis Grizzlies (5,700): Green’s salary has sky-rocketed after a few good performances while helping the Grizzlies fill their considerable holes left by injury. Green had a massive 50.5 fantasy points against the Cavs on Monday and followed that up with 39.75 more fantasy points against the Celtics on Wednesday. While some owners may shy away from his now-just-under 6K price, Green is in a great matchup against the Pelicans who give up tons of points to opposing big men. Zach Randolph could return tonight, but Green should still get enough time to produce another monster game as long as JaMychal can avoid foul trouble.  He isn’t must-own like he was on Wednesday since his price has risen, but he’s still an extremely strong play. ∗∗

Marvin Williams-Charlotte Hornets (5,400): Wiliams had 28.75 fantasy points on Wednesday against the Pelicans on 14 points, five rebounds, and four assists. He has at least 26 fantasy points in eight of his last ten games, but his down game last Friday (12.5 fantasy points) was pretty brutal.  Tonight, he should be able to avoid a stinker like that against the Pistons as he matches up with Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris.  Williams has plenty of upside and should be between 25-30 fantasy points tonight making him a solid play at under 6K.

Taj Gibson-Chicago Bulls (4,400): Gibson didn’t have a huge night last night against the Spurs in San Antonio, but that’s always a difficult matchup for any PF. Tonight, he’ll look to bounce back in a much more favorable situation against the Heat without Chris Bosh.  Gibson had 36 fantasy points and a double-double on Monday, so he’s a solid play tonight although there is risk that he’ll end up being “small-balled” out by the return of Nikola Mirotic.

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (4,100): Mirotic battled the Spurs for 28 minutes last night and managed 29 fantasy points on eight points and ten rebounds in that difficult matchup. He had an even better 31.5 fantasy points on Monday against Milwaukee, and should be able to get at least that many against a Heat team that doesn’t have Chris Bosh right now. Mirotic is still just coming back from his appendectomy, but he quickly looks to be ramping back up to 100% and is a crazy-good value at just over 4K.∗∗∗

Jarrell Martin-Memphis Grizzlies (3,600): The same injuries that allowed JaMychal Green to emerge as a DFS darling have opened up playing time for rookie Jarell Martin as well. Martin had 16 points, six rebounds, an assist, and a block on Wednesday for 26.5 fantasy points, and if Zach Randolph is out tonight he’ll get enough time to be worth a flier as a cheap PF.
