High Value PG

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (5,300): Expect plenty of small-ball tonight in the Kings and Magic game since Boogie is suspended, Vucevic is hurt, and both teams like to go with multiple-guard attacks. Collison has been playing plenty of minutes alongside Rajon Rondo already for the Kings and is one of their better scoring options aside from Cousins. Collison has scored 12 or more points in seven of his last eight games and has three games with over 30 fantasy points in his last seven.  He is a little risky since his production isn’t consistent, but in a high-scoring game with no Couins, I think he’ll finish with good numbers tonight.

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (4,000): Mack and the Jazz face John Wall and the Wizards tonight in Utah, and Mack continues to be one of the cheapest starting PG in the NBA. He hasn’t put up monster under lately, but he has been good for at least 21 fantasy points in three of his last four games and continues to play over 25 minutes a night for Utah after the acquired him in a deadline deal with the Hawks. Mack will probably not go off like Damian Lillard did against the Wizards, to be sure, but he is in a solid matchup and makes a good cheap gamble tonight. ∗∗

Brandon Jennings-Orlando Magic (3,500): Jennings could be lined up for major minutes if Elfrid Payton isn’t able to go for the Magic. Payton missed practice yesterday with an elbow injury, and Jennings could get playing time if Payton is out tonight against the Kings. Sacramento has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG this season, and Jennings would definitely be worth a look if he gets the playing time.  He scored 20 points in his 25 minutes against Golden State on Monday but only played four minutes against the Lakers. His relationship with coach Scott Skiles makes him too volatile an option if Payton is available, but if Payton is ruled out or doubtful before 7:00, Jennings is a great value play. If we hear on Payton- No word on Payton-Stay away.

Briante Weber-Memphis Grizzlies (?????): Depending on Mike Conley’s status Briante Weber could end up starting for the Grizzlies after they signed him from the D-League. Weber was playing well in the D-League and is an assist and steals threat  at least as he makes his NBA debut tonight.  He’s not in the FanDuel system right now, but if he’s added he could be a solid play since there will be plenty of minutes in the Grizz backcourt. I can’t rate him or put him in any lineups yet since he has no price, but if you were wondering who “next man up” is in Memphis, Weber looks to be the guy after going undrafted out of VCU.
