High Value SF

Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies (5,300): Barnes went off last night for the Grizzlies stepping into the void left by a host of injuries and trades.  He had 26 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists in 44 minutes to total 65.25 fantasy points. Barnes has been a great pickup for the Grizz but his offensive game is still inconsistent. While he’ll have the opportunity again tonight in Atlanta, I don’t think he’s a lock to rise to the challenge again tonight like he did last night in a great matchup against the Pelicans.  I still think he’ll turn in a solid game, but I doubt he goes off again like he did last night. Plus, he’s also playing for the second night in a row after logging 44 minutes last night.

Kent Bazemore-Atlanta Hawks (5,100): Bazemore had 13 points, eight boards, and two blocks on his way to 31.5 fantasy points on Thursday against the Raptors giving him 28 or more fantasy points in four of his last seven. He is playing nice minutes with the Hawks starting unit and has emerged as a versatile option if you have to spend under 5K.

Lance Stephenson-Memphis Grizzlies (4,800): Stephenson exploded last night against the Pelicans for 33 points, seven rebounds four assists, and two steals on his way to a massive 53.75 fantasy points. He was coming off just 8.0 fantasy points on Wednesday against Boston, but he showed he can still step up for a very short-handed Memphis team.  He’s high-risk tonight in Atlanta as he tries to do it again on back-to-back nights, but his upside is incredibly high for someone who you can get at just 4,800.  Stephenson should be on the floor a ton again tonight with Mario Chalmers done, Mike Conley out few more weeks, and a host of other fallen Grizzlies opening the door for Lance to have a bit of a resurgence after being run out of LA. He has shown positive signs ever since joining Memphis at the deadline and has over 20 fantasy points in seven of his last nine games.

Michael Beasley-Houston Rockets (3,000): If you are going to go with a flier at SF, check out the Rockets Michael Beasley who came over after an MVP season in China.  He has the green light as evidenced by the 19 shots he took in 15 minutes last night scoring 18 points against the Celtics. He’s still just finding his role, but his 29.5 fantasy points last night at just 3K makes him worth a look in a matchup that should result in plenty of scoring tonight in Charlotte.
