High Salary PF

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (9,800): Davis had 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 48.25 fantasy points last night against Memphis, but he did play a massive 47 minutes in the Pelicans overtime loss.  Davis will look to bounce back against the Bucks who have been getting crushed by opposing big men for most of the season.  Milwaukee has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PF this season and the most in the NBA over their last five games.  Davis had a so-so game against them earlier this season with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and four blocks, but I expect a much bigger game from him tonight as he and Jrue Holiday continue to be about the only sources of offense for the beat-up Pelicans.

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (7,400): Aldridge’s price is finally starting to reflect his production as it has reached 8K. Aldridge has posted over 38 fantasy points in six straight games with over 22 points in each of those contests and four double-doubles. The Thunder are pretty solid up front defensively with Ibaka and Steven Adams, but Aldridge has been stepping up for the Spurs with such strong production that I think he’ll still have a good game tonight as the Spurs look to improve to 32-0 at home. ∗∗∗

Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (7,000): Another big-time producer who has struggled to find consistency is Aaron Gordon of the Magic who has alternated games with over 33 fantasy points and games with under 21 fantasy points in his last seven contests.  Last night he had 37.75 fantasy points on 20 points and 11 boards in just 27 minutes against the Kings, and he’ll look to continue that production instead of dropping out against the Blazers tonight. His inconsistency makes him high risk, but there is a ton of upside to like in the young Orlando PF.

Kenneth Faried-Denver Nuggets (6,500): Faried had been crushing it with six double-doubles in seven games before playing only 15 minutes against the Sounds on Thursday and only getting 14.75 fantasy points. Before that puzzling downer due to lack of playing time for unspecified reasons, Faried had over 36 fantasy points in five of his previous seven including a crazy 57 fantasy points against the Mavericks on 25 points and 20 rebounds.  Faried will look to bounce back tonight against Markeiff Morris and the Wizards, and I expect a solid game although it is unsettling that sometimes he just doesn’t get the time on the floor.

JaMychal Green-Memphis Grizzlies (6,000): Green continues his breakout week for the Grizzlies with 21 points and ten rebounds last night against the Pelicans  giving him three straight double-doubles with over 39 fantasy points in each of those three games.  With all the injuries up front, Green will keep getting all the minutes he can handle (37, 37, and 38 in his last three), so look for him to stay a double-double threat with good peripherals tonight against the Hawks. ∗∗
