San Francisco 49ers. Anquan Boldin. 3. player. 42. . Wide Receiver

Anquan Boldin maybe in the twilight of his NFL career, but the 13-year NFL veteran is a Super Bowl Champion, the reigning Walter Payton Man of the Year, and one of the best possession receivers of his time. Though he’ll play most of the 2016 NFL season at 36 years of age, Boldin could provide huge value at wide receiver on a one-year deal to account for the loss of Bryant to the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Boldin would bring with him to the Steel City 1,009 career receptions for 13,195 yards and 74 touchdowns as a sure-fired future Pro Football Hall of Famer. Everywhere Boldin has played (Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers), he’s made the collective receiving corps better around him.

He’s a great mentor for young receivers like Coates and Wheaton. Even Brown, possibly even Bryant himself could learn some things to become better wideouts with Boldin in the Steelers organization in 2016.

Boldin likely wants to win one more Super Bowl before he calls it a career. Signing a one-year deal as a mentor/No.2-3 wide receiver with the Steelers isn’t a bad option to consider. Roethlisberger, Bell, and Brown are in their prime. Pittsburgh feels playoff bound even without Bryant in 2016. Bringing in a high-character guy like Boldin seems like a great, albeit temporarily solution to the Bryant problem in the Steelers organization.
