1. player. 15. . Wide Receiver. New Orleans Saints. Marques Colston

In a similar vein as with Boldin of the 49ers, the Steelers could look at acquiring another fantastic possession receiver in Marques Colston formerly of the New Orleans Saints. Colston was unfortunately cut by New Orleans a few weeks ago despite being the great receiver in Saints’ franchise history.

Should Colston wish to continue his NFL career outside of the Crescent City, the Steelers may be a great option for the 10-year veteran out of Hofstra University. Colston won’t stretch the field like Bryant can, but could stand as a very reliable red zone target for Roethlisberger in 2016.

Colston was the favorite target of Saints quarterback Drew Brees in New Orleans. With popular tight end Heath Miller calling it a career, the Steelers do need to address how they will plan to attack opposing defenses in the red zone through the air.

Colston has 711 career catches for 9,759 receiving yards and 72 touchdown catches, all Saints records. He is also a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and may want to play for one of the Keystone State’s two NFL franchises to finish his NFL career.

He’s only 32 years old and could still play at a high level in the NFL for the next few years. Pittsburgh could sign him to a two-year deal that could provide the team with a fantastic pass catcher and team leader that could help the Steelers offense both in 2016 and in 2017 if Bryant’s issues take another turn for the worse.
