High Value PG

Deron Williams-Dallas Mavericks (5,600): While there are a ton of high-salary plays that make sense, the pickings at PG under 6K are remarkably slim.  Williams sabot the only solid option between 4,500-6,000. D-Will has been a little inconsistent with his shot lately but he does have at least 27 fantasy points in four of his last five and is getting plenty of minutes as the Mavs cling to the final playoff spot in the West. Williams will be in a good one-on-one matchup with Kemba Walker tonight, and he should be able to give you a steady 25+ fantasy points from this price.

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (4,300): Mack scored over 30 fantasy points in two straight games this weekend, but he remains one of the cheapest was to go at PG. Mack had a career-high 27 points against Washington on Friday finishing with 33.6 fantasy points and followed that with 14 points and eight assists yesterday for 31 fantasy points. He is in a great matchup against the Cavs tonight and is settling right in with Utah where he has seized the starting PG role and is playing about 30 minutes a night.

Ray McCallum-Memphis Grizzlies (4,100): McCallum had a few games with the Spurs earlier this season and played solid minutes with the Kings in the past.  He’s the newest addition to the Grizzlies now as they deal with the loss of Mike Conley and Mario Chalmers.  McCallum made his Memphis debut on Saturday and logged 27 minutes finishing with 24.8 fantasy points on 13 points, four boards, two assists, a block, and two steals.  He has shown he can be a solid multi-category contributor in the past, and he’ll be a nice fit as he finds his role in Memphis.  He will probably come off the bench again tonight behind Briante Weber, but he could be the starter and get plenty of minutes in the near future.

Shaun Livingston-Golden State Warriors (3,600): Livingston will play a more active role as a distributor for the Warriors second unit while Andre Iguodala is sidelined.  He played 21 minutes on Saturday against the Suns and had 23.6 fantasy points on seven points and six assists. He should get solid assist numbers in the near future which should help him raise his production to over 20 fantasy points per game.

Briante Weber-Memphis Grizzleis (3,500): Weber is finally in the FanDuel system, but he was a disappointment on Saturday with just 19.3 fantasy points despite playing 32 minutes.  With Memphis’s current PG situation, Weber will continue to see plenty of minutes and contribute solid assists and steals.  If he can show he can score ten points a game he could be good for about 25-30 fantasy points per night which would make him a steal at this price. If you can afford either Memphis PG, I’d go with McCallum, but if you need to save the $600 for other investments Weber is a solid cheap play tonight against the Rockets
