Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,500): Lowry had a huge night last night against the Bulls in Toronto dropping 33 points go to with 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals for an impressive 59.7 fantasy points. He has at least 38 fantasy points in six of his last eight contests, and is playing monster minutes every night he’s active. Tonight against the Bucks, I think he’ll be in another high-scoring game and be in a matchup he can attack (much like last night) as he faces a Milwaukee backcourt that has lost Michael Carter-Williams and O.J. Mayo and are relying on Jerryd Bayless as their starter.∗∗∗∗
Rajon Rondo-Sacramento Kings (8,000): For the first time this season, the Lakers aren’t the worst team in the NBA against opposing PG after the Suns allowed Ricky Rubio’s monster night last night. The Lakers are still the second-worst team in the NBA against opposing PG, though, so look for Rondo to put up a big game late despite his un-inspiring stat line from Sunday when he only had 20.3 fantasy points against the Jazz. Rondo has averaged 13.7 points, 12.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in his three matchups with the Lakers so far this season, and he should be in a place to bounce back in a big way as he faces this A+ matchup tonight. He is risky, but he has a ton of upside to like tonight.∗∗
Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (7,900): Rondo’s successor in the Boston backcourt, Isaiah Thomas is also a good play tonight as he and the C’s visit Indiana and take on the Pacers. Boston will be without Jae Crowder which will leave even more offensive work for IT4 who has at least 30 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games including a game last Friday when he totaled 51.6 fantasy points against the Knicks. I don’t think he’ll reach that level tonight, but a solid 30-4o fantasy points has become the norm for Thomas, so he’s a safe pick for tonight in what should be an up-tempo game in Indy.∗∗∗
D’Angelo Russell-Los Angeles Lakers (7,000): Russell had an off night on Sunday with just four points on 1-7 shooting while adding two rebounds, two assists, and a steal for only 10.4 fantasy points. Russell has had two games like that since entering the starting lineup, but has had over 30 fantasy points in each of his other six games in his last eight. He is a key part of the Lakers offensive attack, and he gets a good matchup tonight against the Kings who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing PG this season. As long as he can rediscover his shot, Russell should have a bounce-back game tonight. ∗∗∗∗
Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (6,100): Russell isn’t the only exciting rookie PG in the West, though, as Emmanuel Mudiay has also been emerging as the season comes down the stretch run. Mudiay has at least 10 points in each of his last seven games and has reached 29.9 fantasy points in six of his last seven. He posted 36.6 fantasy points last night while finishing with 23 points and ten assists in the Nuggets loss in Miami. Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against the Magic who have been depleted by injuries in the backcourt. ∗∗∗
