Final Four

No. 4 Cal Golden Bears over No. 16 Holy Cross Crusaders
Though the Crusaders have rolled to the Final Four with their combination of weapons and having the advantage of armor, I just can’t get past the fact that a Bear has the advantage in most matchups when the fight is happening in close proximity. By that logic, I have the Golden Bears going to the title game.

No. 2 Michigan State Spartans over No. 16 Farleigh Dickinson Knights
The Spartan again finds himself in a battle with another type of soldier. Though the Knight’s technology and armor may be a bit more complete, you can’t match the training and the mentality of a Spartan when it comes to going into battle. I have Michigan State overcoming and getting into the title game as well.

National Championship

No. 2 Michigan State Spartans over No. 4 Cal Golden Bears
Time and again I’ve said that a Golden Bear would have the advantage in almost any matchup against a human—no matter what weapons are involved—in a fight in relatively close range. However, a Spartan is an entirely different thing altogether.

As part of becoming a Spartan soldier, young Spartans used to have to go into the wild and essentially duel with wild animals. While a Bear is certainly a huge foe to try and bring down, there’s a good chance that a Spartan could make it happen. When it’s all said and done, you can’t beat a Spartan on most occasions and I have them winning it all—if it were mascots that determined that sort of thing.
