1. Corey Seager, SS, Los Angeles Dodgers

The top overall prospect in baseball, Seager is ready to burst onto the scene during his full rookie season in 2016. Seager has a chance to challenge the lofty numbers that the likes of Bryant and Correa put up last season while being a major cog of a World Series contender.

Seager already received a cup of coffee in the Majors last September, appearing in 27 games for Los Angeles. The 21-year-old was very impressive offensively, posting a 175 wRC+ over 113 plate appearances according to FanGraphs.

All of the tools are there for Seager to be a middle-of-the-order force for this year and beyond. Seager already displayed terrific contact skills and plate discipline with a walk rate of 12.6 percent, and he has the raw power to hit plenty of home runs over the course of a full season.

The only question about Seager’s future is whether he has the athleticism to stick at shortstop for the long-term. However, Seager looks to be roughly average defensively for now, and the Dodgers will take that for the time being given how good his bat looks.

Seager’s Opening Day roster spot is technically in jeopardy, as he recently suffered a knee injury that will keep him out one to two weeks. However, the Dodgers are more optimistic that Seager will be ready for Opening Day following an MRI, and he has a starting role in Los Angeles as long as he’s healthy.
