High Salary PF

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,600): Boogie’s price is crazy, but he could definitely be worth it tonight against the Pelicans whose interior defense has been bad all year.  Cousins exploited them last Monday for a monster game of 75 fantasy points in New Orleans scoring 41 points to go with 16 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Last night, he had a “quiet” 22 points, eight boards, three assists, four blocks, and three steals agains the Lakers for “only” 47.1 fantasy points. He has at least 55 fantasy points in five of his last nine games including his monster night against the Pelicans which he’ll look to duplicate tonight in front of his home fans in Sacramento. ∗∗

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,000): “The Brow” has posted seven straight double-doubles with at least 40 fantasy points in each of those contest including four games over 50 fantasy points. He should be well rested after playing must 29 minutes on Monday in Golden State and posting 22 points to go with 12 rebounds in his limited time.  Tonight, he’ll take on the Kings in Sacramento.  Sacramento has allowed the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF this season and more than any other team in their last five games.  Davis had 31 points, ten rebounds, and three steals for 52.5 fantasy points against the Kings when the two teams met last Monday, and he’ll look for a similar or even better performance tonight.

Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (6,800): Gordon started out red-hot last night but trailed off to finish with just 26.26 fantasy points on 16 points with three rebounds, two blocks, and a steal. His rebound numbers need to come up for him to be worth his salary, but he should be in a place to succeed in a high-scoring, small-balling game in Charlotte tonight.

Dirk Nowitzki-Dallas Mavericks (6,600): Dirk has stepped up his game lately as he tries to help the Mavs on their playoff run.  He has at least 43 fantasy points in four of his last five games and has two double-doubles in his last three contests.  He’ll take on Kevin Love and the Cavs tonight in a matchup he should be able to exploit.  With every game meaning so much for Dallas who currently is tied with Houston for the seven-seed, Dirk will get all the run he can handle coming down the stretch. ∗∗
