High Value PF

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (5,900): Dieng has come back from a dry spell with at least 33 fantasy points in three of his last four games although he has nine rebounds in each of those games falling just short of double-doubles in each contest.  He continues to produce multiple steals and blocks in almost every game and be near a double-double.  Tonight, against a banged-up Memphis frontcourt, Dieng should finally get his double-double and be good for 30+ fantasy points.

Marvin Williams-Charlotte Hornets (5,800): Williams continues to put together solid stat lines scoring at least 14 points in five straight games and totaling 28 fantasy points or more in each of those contests and seven of his last ten games. The Magic are the kind of small-ball team that Williams usually has good numbers against, so look for another solid game tonight with around 30 fantasy points which is solid value at his sub 6K price.

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (5,000): Another option in the midrange at PF that I like based on matchup is Mirotic as the Bulls face the Wizards who have also had major problems limiting opposing SF which is where Mirotic usually ends up playing.  Mirotic has at least 29 fantasy points in three of his last four and was able to play 32 minutes against the Raptors scoring 17 points to go with five boards, two assists, a block, and a steal. He is still getting back to 100% after his appendectomy, but his matchup and recent performance make him worth considering today. ∗∗

Jarell Martin-Memphis Grizzlies (3,600): If you’re looking for a cheap option to check out at PF is Jarell Martin of the Grizzlies has been stepping up with all the injuries in Memphis and JaMychal Green struggling as well.  Martin had 17 points and eight boards against the Rockets for 28.5 fantasy points in his last game and has over 16 fantasy points in each of his last four. Martin is getting playing time due to Memphis’s injury outbreak and is making the most of it.
