High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,100): Boogie’s price is crazy, but he could definitely be worth it tonight against the Pelicans whose interior defense has been bad all year.  Cousins exploited them last Monday for a monster game of 70.2 fantasy points in New Orleans scoring 41 points to go with 16 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Last night, he had a “quiet” 22 points, eight boards, three assists, four blocks, and three steals agains the Lakers for “only” 47.1 fantasy points. He has at least 55 fantasy points in four of his last nine games including his monster night against the Pelicans which he’ll look to duplicate tonight in front of his home fans in Sacramento.

Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (8,600): Towns will be in a huge mismatch tonight against the Grizzlies in Memphis since Memphis has no one left who can defend opposing centers.  Towns has three double-doubles in his last four games and has at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last seven contests.  If you’re investing this much in Towns, you’ll definitely be hoping for a bigger game than 30 fantasy points, but he did have over 50 fantasy points in a pair of games last week, and I think he could be close to those numbers tonight against the Grizz if he can avoid foul trouble and the games stays competitive.

Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets (7,900): Dwight Howard played just 24 minutes against Memphis on Monday and still posted 39.1 fantasy points on 13 boards, five blocks, three assists, and seven points.  Howard has at least 30 fantasy points in nine of his last ten games with over 39 fantasy points in five of those contests.  Tonight, he’ll do battle with DeAndre Jordan down low, and as long as we avoid a free throw contest between the two big men, we should get a good matchup. Howard has been playing well enough to spend this much on him tonight.

Robin Lopez-New York Knicks (6,000): RoLo had a solid 29.6 fantasy points against the Lakers on Sunday giving him at least 29 fantasy points in five of his last six games.  His one stinker during that time was an ugly 6.1 fantasy points in Denver, but outside of that game he has been pretty solid.  Lopez is a tricky play tonight because the Warriors could force him off the floor by going small, but Golden State has been giving up big games to opposing centers lately making Lopez a boom-or-bust play tonight.
