High Value PG

Deron Williams-Dallas Mavericks (5,600): Williams continues to be one of the most consistent mid-range plays on the board on a nightly basis and had another 25 fantasy points on Monday against Charlotte.  Williams had 15 points to go with his five assists, a block, and a steal giving him 25+ fantasy points for the fifth time in the last six games. Tonight, he and the Mavs take on the Cavs who have been very beatable by opposing PG since Kyrie Irving has returned.  Williams is a solid mid-range play today if you can’t get the salary cap to move above 6K. ∗∗∗

Toney Douglas-New Orleans Pelicans (4,500): Douglas had a monster game against the Warriors finishing with 42 fantasy points on Monday scoring 22 points to go with eight assists, three steals, and five rebounds. Most of that production came in the fourth quarter of the blowout, but as all DFS players know–fantasy points count the same no matter when they happen.  Tonight, he is risky since he might not get that kind of run at the end of the game against the Kings, and he could even lose his spot in the starting lineup depending on the status of Norris Cole (questionable). He’ll be a role of the dice, but as he showed on Monday, he’s a gamble that sometimes pays off.∗∗

Brandon Jennings-Orlando Magic (3,500): Jennings got the start at PG last night after missing Saturday’s game entirely with a foot injury.  Elfrid Payton is day-to-day with an elbow injury and C.J. Watson is dealing with illness, so the Magic PG depth is being seriously drained.  Jennings looked good in his 27 minutes against Denver last night, though, with 12 points, 11 assists, and 33.1 fantasy points. If he gets another start tonight against the Hornets he’ll be a nice cheap options with lots of upside. If starting-∗∗∗∗∗ Not starting-∗∗

Briante Weber-Memphis Grizzleis (3,500): I watched a lot of the Grizzlies blowout loss to Houston mainly so I could decide which of the Grizz PG I would go with moving forward–Weber or McCallum.  It was painful (you’re welcome) but ultimately I think Weber is the fantasy option to go with since he’s getting more minutes and more opportunity.  That being said, his five turnovers limited him to just 14.9 fantasy points on Monday and he only scored three points in his 35 minutes.  While he doesn’t have crazy-high upside, I think he’ll do much better than that tonight against the T-Wolves who allow the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. Weber will share time with Ray McCallum, but ultimately I think he will be the better option for your fantasy team tonight based on his minutes, solid non-scoring numbers, and bargain price tonight.∗∗∗
