High Salary SG

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (8,100): Butler played 29 minutes last night against the Wizards, so make sure he is ready to roll again tonight, but if he does he’ll be in a great place to produce given that he faces the Nets who have allowed the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG in their last five games and the sixth-most on the season. Butler had 34.5 fantasy points against the Wiz last night giving him at least 32 in all three of his games since returning from a knee injury.  He’s an expensive option especially based on his uncertain playing time on back-to-back nights, but if he gets his usual run he’ll end up being a great play.

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,200): The Hornets closed out a successful homestand last night with a win over Orlando, and tonight they’ll hit the road and head to South Beach. Batum had another big night last night scoring 49.25 fantasy points on 26 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. He has at least 40 fantasy points in four straight games and is a good value at just 7.5K.  He is excelling as the starting SF for Charlotte and getting nice cross-category production. He is also playing a ton of minutes, so look for more big things from him tonight in one of the potential playoff previews on tonight’s schedule.

Khris Middleton-Milwaukee Bucks (7,100): Middleton had a bad game on Tuesday with just 23.25 fantasy points on 12 points, three assists, and three steals as the Bucks were blown away by the Raptors.  He should have a much easier go of it tonight against the Grizzlies injury-depleted lineup.  Middleton had three straight games with over 40 fantasy points before his letdown on Tuesday, and he should be able to bounce back tonight in a high-scoring affair in Milwaukee.

Monta Ellis-Indiana Pacers (6,000): Ellis had 16 points, six assists, and seven rebounds against the Celtics on Tuesday as the Pacers picked up a much-needed win.  Monta has at least 36 fantasy points in four of his last five games after that performance and can be a solid option on a nightly basis in his current role with Indiana.  Ellis and the Pacers will try and keep up with an efficient and effective Raptors backcourt tonight, but I think he’s a good option based on his current form. ∗∗
