High Salary SF

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (10,200): Antetokounmpo cracks the five-digit salary range for the first time this season as the Bucks host the Grizzlies tonight.  It’s hard to argue with such a high salary for “The Alphabet” given his recent production with at least 50 fantasy points in five of his last nine games including four games over 60 fantasy points and a 71.2 fantasy point performance against the Nets on Sunday.  He is a multi-category statsheet-stuffer who should be able to dominate the depleted and exhausted Grizzlies tonight.  The Greek Freak is the most expensive play on the board tonight for a good reason, and he could definitely go off with another triple-double with how hot he has been recently.

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (8,900): While I don’t love that his price is almost 9K now, I do think Kawhi still makes a good play against the Blazers at home tonight.  Leonard had 20 points on Tuesday against the Clippers giving him at least that many in nine of his last ten games, and he added solid non-scoring stats to get to 35 fantasy points. He has at least 34 fantasy points in nine of his last ten, so he’s a low-risk play, and he has also delivered at least 44 fantasy points in six of his last ten matchups so you have a good shot at value.  He hasn’t had the 60-70 fantasy points upside that Antetokounmpo has had lately, but he is a decent play even though he price is pretty high.

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,500): The Hornets closed out a successful homestand last night with a win over Orlando, and tonight they’ll hit the road and head to South Beach. Batum had another big night last night scoring 46.9 fantasy points on 26 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. He has at least 38 fantasy points in four straight games and is a good value at just 7.5K.  He is excelling as the starting SF for Charlotte and getting nice cross-category production. He is also playing a ton of minutes, so look for more big things from him tonight in one of the potential playoff previews on tonight’s schedule.
