High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,400): Durant will have to deal with Paul George’s defense tonight, but PG13 hasn’t been a shutdown defender this season as he has been in the pas. I don’t see tonight’s matchup as a definite stay-away, and I love the way Durant has been cruising lately with at least 45 fantasy points in three of his last four games  and eight of his last ten despite playing limited minutes in blowouts.  For example, last night Durant only played 34 minutes but had 26 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists against the 76ers finishing with 47.6 fantasy points. He will be in a tough matchup against George, but I expect the game to be close meaning Durant could be closer to the 40-minute mark tonight allowing him to get 50+ fantasy points. ∗∗

LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (9,800): LeBron was fairly pedestrian last night by his own lofty standards playing 36 minutes and totaling 38.4 fantasy points on 18 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists.  He’ll take on his former team in Miami tonight, so there’s a chance he takes it to D-Wade and the Heat with a monster game.  There’s also a chance he takes the opportunity to continue to rest and fuel up for the playoffs.  He’s a boom-or-bust play tonight against the Heat, and an expensive one.∗∗

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (8,800): Melo is in a great matchup against the Wizards who have had trouble all year against opposing SF. Anthony has torched the Wizards in both his games against them this season scoring 33 points to go with 13 rebounds on February 9, and scoring 37 points to go with seven rebounds in their first meeting of the season back on Halloween. Anthony has at least 45 fantasy points in four of his last seven games, and he has been playing heavy minutes in games that are competitive.  He’s in a great matchup and should put on a good show tonight in DC as the Knicks try to derail the Wizards push for the playoffs.
