FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 20
High Value SF
Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (5,500): Turner returns to Phily tonight as the Celtics try to turn things around dropping four straight and sliding to the sixth-seed in the Eastern Conference. Turner started on Friday against the Raptors but only managed 23 fantasy points in 31 minutes on 12 points, five rebounds, two steals, and two assists. He was expected to step up after the injury to Jae Crowder but had two underwhelming games against the Pacers and Thunder. Maybe taking on his former team will help Turner get his game back in gear. When he’s at his best he’s a multi-category contributor who can give you good points, rebounds, and assists. Boston needs him to be that again tonight as they look to pick up a suddenly very important win on the road against the Sixers. ∗∗∗∗
Hollis Thompson-Philadelphia 76ers (4,200): Thompson has double-digit scoring in eight of his last nine games after dropping 16 points against the Thunder on Friday. He has at least 19 fantasy points in five of his last six games as a result and posted a solid 29.3 fantasy points in that game on Friday. Thompson’s lack of hype has kept his price nice and low, but he has been a nice value ever since returning from an illness that cost him a couple games at the end of February. ∗∗∗
Luke Babbit-New Orleans Pelicans (3,500): The Pelicans will be searching for offense with Anthony Davis out tonight, and Babbitt has shown enough flashes that I think they may give him a look. He played over 30 minutes twice last week against the Bucks and Warriors and had double-digit scoring and over 20 fantasy points in each of those contests. He has been much less involved this week playing only a total of 20 minutes in two games, but he may see more time tonight. He’s a very high-risk flier against the Clippers tonight, but he’s someone to watch to see if coach Alvin Gentry can work him into a larger regular role in the rotation.∗
