1. He’s not going to bust

Of all the players entering the 2016 NFL Draft, Ramsey is the one player certainly going in the top 10 that will not bust. Offensive linemen like Tunsil and Stanley may have a hard time adjusting to both scheme and becoming well-rounded at both running blocking and pass protection at the NFL level. Defensive linemen like Bosa and Buckner may not have the motor to thrive in the NFL.

Hargreaves may not be physical enough on the outside to be a dynamic shutdown corner. While both quarterbacks have high upside, Goff can’t go to a cold weather city and have success with his so-so arm and Wentz may not be ready to play for a perennial loser like Cleveland after winning every Saturday playing at the FCS level at North Dakota State.

For so many reasons, Ramsey is not going to fail in the NFL. He’s played in huge games with the Seminoles, so big games in the NFL won’t terrify him. His versatility in the secondary will allow him to carve out a role in a NFL defense for the next decade. It will give him opportunities to win starting jobs on any number of defensive schemes well into his 30s.

When a player grades favorably to both Mathieu and Sanders, outside of Ronnie Lott coming out of USC, what else could a general manager want out of a defensive back that Ramsey wouldn’t be able to provide. He has a Hall of Famer type of ceiling, but even if he’s only a two-time Pro Bowler before he calls it a career, Ramsey is not going to bust as a professional.

His upside is off the charts and he already has an incredibly high floor entering the 2016 NFL Draft after his true junior season at FSU. Tennessee may have their mind made up already about what the Titans want to do at No. 1, but they would be foolish not to consider Ramsey as a possible target at No. 1 in the 2016 NFL Draft. Tennessee can’t afford to miss at No. 1 and Ramsey is the player most certain to make his mark in the NFL in his 2016 Draft class.
