High Value C

Jared Sullinger-Boston Celtics (5,500): Sullinger has had inconsistent production lately as Boston’s frontcourt rotation continues to shift.  He has posted five double-doubles in his last nine games, though, after a solid 17 points and 13 rebounds last night for 38.25 fantasy points against the 76ers.  He has at least 37 fantasy points in five of his last nine games as well, and he should fare well against the Magic who are still small up front without Nikola Vucevic. Sullinger’s fluctuating playing time makes him a little more high-risk than the other options on the high-salary side, but he definitely has the upside to produce tonight at home against Orlando.

Ian Mahinmi-Indiana Pacers (4,800): Mahinmi returned Saturday after missing a game with a back injury and scored 11 points to go with five rebounds against the Thunder.  He’ll be in a better matchup tonight against the 76ers who have allowed the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing C. Mahinmi can be hit or miss depending on his minutes and his workload but he can approach a double-double and return a good value when he’s at his best.  His matchup and the fact that he looks healthy makes him worth considering tonight.

Tyson Chandler-Phoenix Suns (5,000): Chandler had a nice double-double on Friday night against the Lakers with 12 points and 17 rebounds for 42.75 fantasy points. He has at least 35 fantasy points in three of his last four games and has managed a double-double in five of his last eight games.  One of those double-doubles came against tonight’s opponent when he had 16 points and ten boards in Memphis two weeks ago. Chandler is a good value again tonight, although his down games can be pretty bad burns (like his 8.0 fantasy points last Thursday in Utah).

Mareese Speights-Golden State Warriors (3,900): Speights didn’t do much on Saturday playing just 11 minutes and getting only four points and a rebound for 6.75 fantasy points. However, the Warriors may need his size against Dieng and Towns of the T-Wolves tonight, so if you have to spend less than Portis, Speights is a flier worth considering.  Before the downer on Saturday, he had run off four straight games with at least 13 points and 22 fantasy points.
