High Salary SG

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (7,700): Oladipo has been on fire for Orlando lately with at least 36 fantasy points in seven of his eight games since missing a game against the Suns with a back injury.  He lit up the Cavs for an impressive 45 points on Thursday of last week adding enough non-scoring numbers to get to 67.25 fantasy points. He followed that up with 36.5 fantasy points last night in Toronto scoring 21 points in 42 minutes.  He’ll look to lead Orlando to a road win in Boston tonight, and expect him to play heavy minutes again tonight since he has a least 39 minutes in each of his last four games even though all four happened in a six-day span. Fatigue is a concern and the matchup isn’t great, but Oladipo has been so hot lately that you can definitely overlook those things and go with him tonight since he’s carrying so much of the  offensive workload for Orlando while Nikola Vucevic is out and Elfrid Payton is slowed by injury.

Jimmy Butler-Chicago Bulls (7,700): Tonight might be a good night to get back on the Jimmy Butler Bandwagon as he faces the Kings.  Butler only managed 13 points and 27.75 fantasy points last night against the Jazz in a tough matchup, but he’ll look to bounce back against Sacramento who allows the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. Butler missed the first game when these teams met earlier this season, but I think he’s ready to light them up tonight.  He has been playing under 35 minutes a game since returning which is less than his usual workload and makes him a little risky at this price, but there is a ton of upside to love with Butler tonight as the Bulls should be able to score piles of points against Sacramento who is on the second night of their back-to-back.

Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,400): Wiggins and the Wolves do battle with the Warriors tonight in Minnesota.  Wiggins has done well since moving to the SF spot for Minnesota producing better non-scoring numbers while continuing to contribute 20+ points per game.  Wiggins had 35.5 fantasy points against Houston on Friday in his most recent game and has at least 31 fantasy points in six of his last seven games.  He still has a ton of room to grow, but he’s getting lots of time and lots of shots in the T-Wolves attack, so he should be able to produce good numbers even in a matchup with the defending champs tonight.

Monta Ellis-Indiana Pacers (6,300): Ellis has been regularly producing 30+ fantasy points while playing a ton of minutes for the Pacers as they battle for their playoff spot.  Ellis played 43 and 42 minutes in his last two games and managed over 30 fantasy points in each game even though he only scored a total of 19 points. He has been producing good rebounds, assists, and steals numbers, so if he can get to the rim and score tonight against the Sixers he could b poised for a really big fantasy night.  Ellis has at least 34 fantasy points in six of his last seven, and I think he’ll be good for at least that many again with nice upside against the porous Phily defense. ∗∗

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,100): LaVine has stepped into a big role for the T-Wolves over the last month and has become a huge part of their rotation and one of them better scoring threats on offense.  LaVine has over 33 fantasy points in three straight games with over 30 in seven of his last ten. In those ten games, LaVine has been playing 38 minutes per game and averaging 18.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.5 steals. He non-scoring numbers aren’t great, but his increased run should allow him to put up good numbers against the Warriors tonight who have been giving up plenty of points while still outscoring their opponents (aside from their loss in San Antonio).  LaVine is a little risky since Minnesota could get blown out, but I think LaVine will end up getting his scoring early as the Wolves try to keep pace with the Warriors.
