High Salary PF

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,400): Cousins reminded us all  of why his salary is so high with a 62.5-fantasy-point game last night against the Knicks dominating the glass for 20 rebounds to go with his 24 points, four assists, two blocks, and a steal.  He has at least 49 fantasy points in each of his last seven games with over 55 in four of those contests including a game with 75 fantasy points against the Pelicans.  Tonight, Boogie could be close that that kind of production against the banged-up Bulls who don’t have Joakim Noah or Pau Gasol. Bobby Portis, Taj Gibson, and Nikola Mirotic will try to slow Cousins down, but the matchup could be even more one-sided than last night’s turned out to be.  Cousins is a huge expenditure, but against the Bulls depleted interior, he should be worth it again tonight. ∗∗

Draymond Green-Golden State Warriors (7,800): Green will need to be busy tonight against the big PF-C combo of the Timberwolves Gorgui Dieng and Karl-Anthony Towns.  The Warriors will likely be without Andrew Bogut (doubtful) leaving much of the heavy lifting in the defensive front court to Green.  Green has been playing well lately even though he hasn’t had a monster fantasy game in a while He had 11 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in the Warriors loss on Saturday, and he’ll look to help them bounce back in a big way tonight against Minnesota.  I think Green is a good play with a ton of upside, but his price is still a little high for his “safe” level of production. ∗∗

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (7,500): Aldridge was a beast against the Warriors serving as the Spurs’ chief source of offense in their win over Golden State. He finished the game with 26 points and 13 rebounds in his 37 minutes totaling 44.75 fantasy points. He has at least 31 fantasy points in each of his last ten games and has been a steady source of excellent production for San Antonio since the All-Star break. In his 15 games since the break, LA is averaging 20.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 0.7 steals in his still-manageable 32.9 minutes per game.  Aldridge is a nice play tonight against the Hornets who lack a little size up front although Al Jefferson’s return has helped them go on a nice roll lately. ∗∗

Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (6,700): Randolph returned from a seven-game absence with his best game of the season posting a huge triple-double against the Clippers. It was his first career triple-double and allowed him to total 60.25 fantasy points on 28 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists.  Z-Bo looked great as the team’s primary offensive focus, and he will likely be that again tonight in a matchup with the two-centered lineup of the Suns.  Tyson Chandler and Alex Len will try to slow down Randolph, but I expect another strong game from him even though he may not quite get to 50 fantasy points again.
