DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 22
High Value PG
Toney Douglas-New Orleans Pelicans (5,100): Douglas has come up huge for the Pelicans while Norris Cole has joined fellow-guards Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans on the sidelines. Cole has missed eight games with his bad back and is listed as questionable for tonight. In his absence, Douglas has at least 24 fantasy points in six of his last seven contests including three games with over 33 fantasy points. He had one of those games on Sunday when he had 15 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds for 37.75 fantasy points. With the Pelicans badly needing offense due to so many injuries, look for Douglas to fit up the stat sheet again tonight if he gets the start. The only thing keeping him from being a five-star option is a tough matchup against the Heat who defend opposing PG pretty well. If starting-∗∗∗∗
Patrick Beverley-Houston Rockets (4,600): Beverley is one of the Rockets players who will be drastically affected by the availability of James Harden (questionable). If Harden is out or limited it could result in added responsibility on offense for P-Bev who has had some good games lately mixed in with a few downers. He has at least 25 fantasy points in seven of his last ten and dropped 45.75 fantasy points against the T-Wolves last Friday with a double-double. On the other hand, he followed that up with just 14.75 fantasy points on Saturday and has been held under 20 fantasy points in three of his last five. He’s a volatile option if Harden is in the game, but if not Beverley actually should be in a good matchup since the Thunder give up the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. With Harden-∗∗∗ No Harden-∗∗∗∗∗
Ray McCallum-Memphis Grizzlies (3,200): McCallum was solid last night against the Suns with nine points and seven assists for 24.75 fantasy points. He has over 24 fantasy points in each of his last two games which have been good starts for the Grizzlies. Tonight, he’ll get a great matchup against the Lakers who have given up more fantasy points this season to opposing PG than any team except the Suns. McCallum should be able to play a full workload after logging just 25 minutes last night, so I expect another 20+ fantasy points from him making him a great value at his bargain-basement price.∗∗∗∗∗
