High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,500): The single biggest storyline to watch leading up to tonight’s games is the availability of James Harden.  If Harden can go against the Thunder, he’ll be a good play since he always brings his A-game against his former team.  He is averaging 35 points, six boards, five assists, and 2.5 steals against OKC in his first two meetings with them this season, and if he can be near 100% you know he’ll keep trying to carry his new team to the playoffs.  Harden has been playing huge minutes for Houston in their playoff push, and he “seemed expected to play” according to the beat writers that cover the team. I think he’ll go and ultimately turn in a solid performance since he has at least 48 fantasy points in seven of his last ten and has cracked 60 fantasy points in three of those contests. He’s too risky to put in your lineup if you’re not following up before tip-off, but if you are he has enough upside to consider playing him at over 10K. If confirmed playing-∗ If status uncertain-stay away

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,300): Batum didn’t have a huge game against the Spurs which is to be expected when going toe-to-toe with “The Klaw.” He did play 35 minutes and finish with 28.5 fantasy points on 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Before that game, though, Batum had at least 40 fantasy points in five of his previous six games and he should be set to light up the Nets tonight who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SF in their last five games than any other team in the NBA. In a matchup that suits him much better tonight, look for more “Boom-boom” from Batum tonight. ∗∗

Dwyane Wade-Miami Heat (6,500): While Holiday has a ton of offensive responsibility, the Pelicans have been giving up the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG on the other side of the ball. D-Wade will be in a place to attack that matchup tonight coming off of 24 points in 28 minutes on Saturday against Miami.  He had 36 fantasy points in that contest, and he should be able to produce a similar number tonight if the game stays close and he plays 30+ minutes.
