DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 22
High Salary SF
Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,400): Durant has at least 52 fantasy points in each of his last three games and in eight of his last ten contests. He posted a monster 70.75 fantasy points against the Pacers on Saturday with 33 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. Durant did suffer a minor elbow injury in that game, and as a result, he missed Monday’s practice. There was reportedly no structural damage, but it’s worth double-checking his status before locking him in to your lineup tonight. As long as he does play, Durant is in a spot for another monster game against the Rockets who allow the most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF. Durant averaged 31 points, eight rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks in their two previous meetings this season, and he should be ready to go off tonight as long as his elbow injury doesn’t limit him. ∗∗∗∗
Matt Barnes-Memphis Grizzlies (5,600): Barnes returned from his one-game suspension last night in Phoenix and played 35 minutes finishing with 12 points nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and a steal for a total of 32.75 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last three games and in five of his last eight. He showed just how volatile his offensive game can be against the Lakers at the end of February when he racked up 25 points against them in one game and two days later missed every shot he attempted and finished with zero points. He has been relatively stable since assuming a bigger role in the Memphis attack due to injuries, but he’s still a boom-or-bust play in the late game tonight. ∗∗
Joe Johnson-Miami Heat (5,200): Johnson has been a steady veteran presence for the Heat with the steady production to match with at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last five games while averaging 18.4 points, 3.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals in his 33.4 minutes per game. He has been a big part of the Heat’s success even without Chris Bosh, and he should continue to find success against the injury-depleted Pelicans tonight. ∗∗∗
