High Value SF

Michael Beasley-Houston Rockets (4,900): Beasley has been absolutely excellent since joining the team after a very successful campaign in China. Beasley has scored in double-digits in six straight games and capped off his recent surge with a monster game of 30 points and nine rebounds against the Hawks on Saturday.  He has at least 27 fantasy points in four straight games and could be in for even more work on offense if James Harden is sidelined tonight.   Either way, Beasley is a great buy at under 5K and should get enough run against the Thunder to be worth this minimal investment.

Tony Allen-Memphis Grizzlies (4,700): Allen was a solid play again last night producing 25 fantasy points against the Suns on 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in his 28 minutes.  He has settled in with the new-look Grizzlies lineup and produced at least 25 fantasy points in five of his last nine games including each of his last three.  The Lakers allow the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG, so Allen should be in a solid place to produce tonight even though he doesn’t offer the crazy upside of Beasley.

Luke Babbitt-New Orleans Pelicans (3,700): Babbitt started for the Pelicans on Sunday against the Lakers and had 23.5 fantasy points on 14 points and eight boards.  He is a nice option at a rock-bottom price since he’ll likely get the starting nod again tonight with Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson the latest Pelicans to go down with injury.  New Orleans needs some offense, and Babbitt has shown he can provide some of that with at least double-digit scoring and 23 fantasy points in each of his last three games in which he played more than 20 minutes.

Dante Cunningham-New Orleans Pelicans (3,600): Another Pelicans’ player who won’t have a problem finding court time is Dante Cunningham who played 40 minutes on Sunday for the injury-ravaged Pelicans.  Cunningham had 19 points, six boards, and two steals for 31 fantasy points in his 40 minutes, and with Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis out again tonight, he’ll get all the playing time he can handle in a solid matchup against the Heat that could get high-scoring in a hurry. I think Cunningham is lower-risk than Babbitt since he’ll get the playing time tonight although they both have pretty nice upside.∗∗
