To those who saw the teaser and thought, “Yes! Lucas Leiva and Allan Rodrigues de Souza!”: We’re sorry. That’s not who we meant. That will never be who we meant.

Coutinho and Firmino are two players that can turn a tie on its head. Just ask Manchester United. (Guillermo Varela is reportedly still chasing Coutinho)

In the Premier League, Firmino has eight goals and seven assists; Coutinho has six goals and five assists. When you consider that Coutinho has had to deal with injury problems this season, while Firmino has been adjusting to life in a new country and a new league, those numbers are more impressive than they might look.

Liverpool, as stated, will need to attack, attack, attack. And the attack will be led by their two Brazilian stars. To have any shot against his former club, Klopp will need great performances out of his no. 10 and no. 11.

Both have showed the ability and form.

Also (semi) related: has Coutinho ever scored a tap in? It feels like every one of his goals is of the “WHAT A GOAL!!!” variety. The closest thing to a tap in he’s scored this season must’ve been his goal in the Capital One Cup final, which, due to the circumstances, automatically qualifies as a great goal. The stage is set.
