High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (10,400): Harden played through his foot injury last night in OKC and totaled a robust 59.4 fantasy points on 24 points, 16 assists, seven rebounds, and four steals.  He has at least 45 fantasy points in four straight now and is back to log big minutes for the Rockets.  He’s in a tough matchup tonight against the Jazz who allow the fourth-fewest fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG. However, Harden has had at least 30 points in each of his three games against Utah this season including a 42-point game when the teams last met at the end of last month.  Given his workload and injury, there are some caution flags, but “The Beard” still usually comes through with a big game.

Victor Oladipo-Orlando Magic (8,500): Oladipo is carrying the Magic offense right now with Nikola Vucevic out and Elfrid Payton limited. He has at least 41 fantasy points in four of his last five games and has played at least 39 minutes in each of those five contests.  I don’t love his matchup or his price tonight, but his recent run of excellence makes him too good of an option to pass by lightly.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (6,900): McCollum is helping the Blazers push toward the playoffs and is finishing his breakout campaign strong. He has at least 37 fantasy points in three straight contests with over 20 points in each game and solid non-scoring numbers as well.  When he faced Dallas on Sunday, he had 22 points, eight assists, two steals and a block for 37.2 fantasy points in his 43 minutes. He’ll look to approach those numbers agains the Mavs again tonight at home where he has done better for most of the season. McCollum’s price doesn’t reflect his recent surge, and I think he’s a great bargain in this matchup tonight.

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,100): LaVine has been extremely busy since the All Star break playing a ton of minutes for the T-Wolves despite not being able to crack the rotation early in the season.  He has logged at least 35 minutes in nine of his last ten games and has scored at least 15 points in nine of those ten contests as well. He had 19 points and 27.4 fantasy points against the Warriors in his most recent game on Monday and has at least that many fantasy points in each of his last four games.  He takes on the Kings tonight in a great matchup since Sacramento has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SG this season.
