High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,700): KCP has at least 24 fantasy points in four straight games and in eight of his last nine.  He has helped pick up a little bit of the slack with Reggie Jackson dealing with bronchitis, and has been getting more assists than normal as a result.  He always logs a ton of minutes for coach Stan Van Gundy having only played less than 37 minutes once in his last ten games.  Tonight should be more of the same as the Pistons host the Magic.  Earlier this season, KCP had 21 points, six boards, and two assists against Orlando, and I expect a similar line tonight with maybe a slight bump in the assists if he runs point more often like he has in the last few games.

Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (5,500): Clarkson scored 22 points last night in the Lakers win over Memphis adding five rebounds and two steals to get him to 30 fantasy points for the fourth time in his last nine games.  He could be in for another good stat line tonight as the Lakers take on the Suns who have the worst defensive backcourt in the NBA (barely over the Lakers). Clarkson could also be in line for an increased workload depending on the availability of D’Angelo Russell who is questionable with a shin injury. With Russell-∗ No Russell-

Louis Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (5,300): Another beneficiary of the Russell injury would be Lou Williams who lit up the Suns on Friday for 30 points and 39.1 fantasy points. He’ll get that same matchup tonight, and I think he’s still a good value at just over 5K especially if he gets increased minutes tonight. Last night wasn’t a great one for Williams as he managed just 13 points and 18.2 fantasy points against the Grizz, but getting the Suns should be enough of a boost to make him a solid value once again. If starting-∗∗ Not starting-

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,900): Redick has shot the ball very well against the Warriors this season (58%) the two times he has played against them averaging 14.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 rebound. The Clippers haven’t been able to keep any of those games very close though, so he has only averaged 28 minutes. He has been scoring well over his last few games as well with at least 20 points in five of his last eight including his last game on Sunday when he had 24 points against the Pelicans to finish with 28.9 fantasy points. His non-scoring numbers don’t make him a top-shelf option, but at under 5K he can provide decent scoring numbers in what should be a high-scoring contest in Oakland.

Josh Richardson-Miami Heat (4,400): Richardson had a bit of a down game last night playing just 24 minutes and totaling six points and 6.2 fantasy points against the Pelicans. He is still a solid sleeper, though, since he’s getting plenty of time in the Mami rotation and had at least 17 points in four of his last five games and has produced at least 24 fantasy points in five of his last six before yesterday’s disappointment.

Tim Hardaway Jr.-Atlanta Hawks (4,100): Hardaway has suddenly jumped into a big role in the Atlanta rotation with at least 16 points in each of his last three games while playing 20 minutes or more and finishing with 20 fantasy points or more in each of those three contests.  He takes on the Wizards tonight and will continue to offer some instant offense as part of Atlanta’s second unit.
