High Salary SF

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (10,000): Antetokounmpo has been on an impressive run so far since the All Star break averaging 19.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 2.0 blocks, and 1.6 steals in his 17 games since the break while shooting over 50% from the field and playing over 37 minutes per night for coach Jason Kidd. With injuries to Michael Carter-Williams and O.J. Mayo, Antetokounmpo has played the point more often in the last few weeks and is close to averaging a triple-double over his last ten games. He has at least 43 fantasy points in seven of those ten games including three of his last four.  He’ll look to bring his top game again tonight as he tangles with LeBron and the Cavs.  James is coming off a triple-double of his own, but Antetokounmpo had two solid games against LeBron earlier this season. Given his recent surge, I expect an even bigger game from the Greek Freak tonight, so don’t be scared away by his 10K price.

LeBron James (9,900): James had a huge game on Monday against the Nuggets with 33 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds for a huge 59.7 fantasy points. He hadn’t reached 50 fantasy points in any of his previous eight games, so it was a nice step-up for players who own LeBron on a regular basis.  He could be transitioning to “Playoff LeBron,” or it could just be that he played the Nuggets. Either way, he’s in another good matchup tonight agains the Bucks who he averaged 32 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks against in his first two meetings this season.  I actually like Antetokounmpo a little bit more in this one only because he carries more of the offensive weight on a nightly bases for the Bucks than LeBron does for the Cavs, but they’re both excellent plays if you have the salary cap space.

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (8,400): Leonard had a huge game against Golden State on Saturday night finishing with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 40.8 fantasy points, but he and the whole Spurs team had a bit of a letdown on Monday against the Hornets blowing a huge lead and taking a tough loss in Charlotte. Tonight, they return home to face the Heat who Leonard had 23 points, nine boards, four assists, and three steals against in their first meeting this season.  Look for “The Klaw” to lead a bounceback for all the Spurs as they look to move past their Monday stinker.

Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,900): Wiggins dropped 40 fantasy points on Golden State on Monday with 25 points, five rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal.  Since he moved from SG to SF with the more regular inclusion of Zach LaVine in the rotation, Wiggins non-scoring numbers have ticked up and he has been able to get at least 30 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games.  Tonight, Wiggins takes on the Kings, so he should have success at either wing position since the Kings allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing SG and the fifth-most to opposing SF.
