High Value PF

Aaron Gordon-Orlando Magic (5,800): Gordon has shown down since a breakout run around the All Star break, and he has been held under 25 fantasy points in each of his last five games.  His price has come back down as a result to where I think he offers enough upside to be worth a look at under 6K. He did have 13 points and eight rebounds in 29 minutes against Boston on Monday, and he should be in a favorable matchup again tonight against the smaller lineup of the Pistons.  Gordon’s worst games have come when the other team out-sizes him, but that shouldn’t be the case tonight.

Taj Gibson-Chicago Bulls (5,500): Pau Gasol returned for the Bulls on Monday against the Kings, but Gibson still had a solid line next to Pau in the frontcourt. He finished with 18 points, four steals, and three boards in his 33 minutes for 33.6 fantasy points. He has at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last five games and has scored double-digits in each of his last five contests where he wasn’t severely limited by injury.  Gibson should be productive again tonight as he and the Bulls take on the Knicks.

Amir Johnson-Boston Celtics (4,200): Amir Johnson takes on his former team tonight as the Raptors visit the Garden to take on the Celtics.  Johnson has been plying much better lately and said he’s finally feeling better after battling plantar fasciitis. He has looked back to his pre-injury form with at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games including a pair of double-doubles and back-to-back games with multiple blocks in his last two contests.  He only had six points and six boards against Toronto on Friday, but I think he’ll have a much better game tonight and be very involved in every aspect of the game from the tip tonight.

Ed Davis-Portland Trail Blazers (4,000): Davis continues to be stuck in a timeshare in Portland that doesn’t give him enough minutes to show his full potential on a nightly basis.  He had bene able to post at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last three games, but he was held under ten fantasy points in the three games before that.  Davis is a boom-or-bust play tonight against the Mavericks, but if he played 20+ minutes I love the potential for at least 20 fantasy points.

Jon Leuer-Phoenix Suns (4,000): Leuer stepped in for the Suns in place of an injured Tyson Chandler and produced a solid 13-point, 13-rebound game against his former team, the Grizzlies. He even added three blocks to get to 32.6 fantasy points in that contest.  He has actually played well in his limited time in the Suns inconsistent rotation, and will be worth a long look if Chandler is unable to start tonight and Leuer cracks the starting five against the Lakers. With Chandler-too risky. No Chandler-

Donatas Motiejunas-Houston Rockets (3,900): D-Mo continues to get solid playing time and be very involved in the Houston attack with at least five rebounds and 11 points in four of his last five games.  He has 23+ fantasy points in three of those contests, and the Rockets will likely have to use him for 20+ minutes again tonight because of the size that the Jazz have up front. Motiejunas seems to be over his back issues from earlier in the season and ready to contribute to Houston in the stretch run.

Willie Cauley-Stein-Sacramento Kings (3,500): Cauley-Stein was starting to emerge on the DFS radar when he got sick and was forced to miss two straight games over the weekend.  He only played five minutes in his return on Monday, so it’s unclear exactly what his role is right now in Sacramento.  He’s very high-risk, but if the Kings decide to be careful with DeMarcus Cousins and not rush him back for tonight, Cauley-Stein could end up with the start against the T-Wolves. Cauley-Stein is a high-risk flier if Cousins is cleared, but he has enough upside to be a good play if Cousins is out.  Before he got sick, coach George Karl said he would emphasize his young big man coming down the stretch, and hopefully that can start tonight against the T-Wolves. With Cousins-∗ No Cousins-
