6. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson unexpectedly won the starting job in Seattle as a rookie and led the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances in his first three years, including one victory. Even though the Seahawks fell short of that level as a team in 2015, Wilson had his best season yet.

The 2012 third-round pick set career highs with 4,024 yards, 34 touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 110.1. Wilson had an incredible stretch near the end of the season worth of the NFL record books, and could only get better if the Seahawks are able to improve their awful offensive line situation.

Over a five-game period starting in late November, Wilson threw 19 touchdowns without recording an interception. No previous quarterback in NFL history had a four-game streak with a rating of at least 120 and three touchdown passes or more in each contest.

While Wilson’s scrambling ability is a huge part of his skill set, he offers much more than that to Seattle’s offense. Wilson has one of the best deep balls in the game, and his passing ability from the pocket continues to improve.

With Marshawn Lynch now retired, Wilson is set to become the focal point of the Seahawks’ offense, and could be poised to put up an even better 2016 season.
