Ivan Rabb. 15. player. 18.
The Celtics will be searching for front court depth after waiving David Lee mid-February and with the rest of their front court rotation either set to become restricted free agents or on non-guaranteed deals. California’s Ivan Rabb is a fantastic talent who excels scoring inside the arc and on the boards.

Unlike his teammate, Jaylen Brown, Rabb delivered a solid performance in the Golden Bears opening round loss to Hawaii, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting and grabbing 12 rebounds. Rabb has been an efficient scorer this season, posting Division I’s 77th highest two-point percentage at 61.5 percent. He has shown promise as a scorer with his back to the basket and has shown occasional flashes of a mid-range game that would help the Celtics space the floor for penetration from guards like Marcus Smart and Isaiah Thomas. Rabb is also an excellent rebounder, collecting 11.9 rebounds per 40 minutes with an 11.3 offensive rebound rate and a 21.3 rebound rate on the defensive end.

Defensively, Rabb is still developing. While he’s defending both the power forward and center spots in college, he’ll need to put on some muscle in order to guard bigger opponents at the next level. As a 6-10 19-year old, that should come easily enough when he’s able to focus full time on developing his game.

For more information about Ivan Rabb, <a href=. PF/C. California
