The 6-6 guard played nearly every position from point guard to small forward for Tom Izzo throughout the year, averaging close to a triple-double per 40 minutes (23.3 points, 9.4 assists, and 9.1 rebounds).</p> <p>Valentine has a high basketball IQ player, great court vision and is a triple threat in pick-and-roll situations; he can drive to the basket, kick out to open teammates or pull up for a jump shot. However, his high IQ should help make up for what he lacks physically. For a team built to win now like the Pacers, Valentine is an excellent selection because of his high floor.
