DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-March 24
High Salary PF
Thaddeus Young-Brooklyn Nets (6,900): If the Nets are going to keep up with the Cavaliers tonight, Young will have to rediscover the form he was showing before a woeful game on Tuesday. He managed just 18.5 fantasy points in an ugly outing against Charlotte scoring ten points to go with eight rebounds but also turning the ball over six times after totaling just five turnovers in his previous eight games. Young had been playing exceptionally well before that contest with at least 38 fantasy points in five straight and over 44 fantasy points in each of his last three. He will need to bounce back tonight, and given Kevin Love’s defensive (ahem) “challenges” he should be able to get more going than he did on Tuesday. ∗∗
Derrick Favors-Utah Jazz (7,000): I loved Favors in last night’s matchup against the Rockets and he came through with a very solid 47.75 fantasy points on 17 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. Tonight’s matchup is a little less juicy and he is on a back-to-back. I don’t love him nearly as much as I did yesterday, but he is still worth a look since there are very limited PF plays. Favors did have a solid 14-point, ten-rebound double-double in his last game against the Thunder, and I’d be happy with a 30-fantasy-point night from him tonight.∗∗∗
Kevin Love-Cleveland Cavaliers (6,600): With limited options, I like both sides of the PF matchup in Brooklyn since Kevin Love looked pretty good last night in his return after sitting a game due to illness. He totaled 24 points and ten boards in his 31 minutes against the Bucks last night finishing with 50 fantasy points. Tonight, he should be able to be involved again in the Cavs’ attack although his number shave been inconsistent at times this year as his role increases or decreases based on gameplan. Given his price, though, he’s the PF option that I think has the best chance to return value at over 6K. ∗∗∗∗
