High Value SF

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (4,700): Mirotic went off last night for 35 points in 34 minutes adding six rebounds for 44.2 fantasy points. He has over 30 fantasy points in two of his last three games, but he has struggled with consistency for much of the season. He definitely can produce on any night, but we had been waiting for his breakout since returning from an appendectomy. Tonight, he’ll be in the same matchup agains the Knicks who he lit up last night, but I still am not considering him a “safe” play since he has been such a roller coaster.   He’s definitely a usable option tonight, but don’t think of him as a lock to keep feeling it like he was last night.

Luke Babbitt-New Orleans Pelicans (3,800): The Pelicans are incredibly thin do to all their injury issues, and Babbitt will likely continue to get all the playing time he can handle for the foreseeable future since he does provide some offensive spark from the wing. He scored 23 points on Tuesday against Miami adding in four rebounds to get to 29.3 fantasy points. Babbitt has over 20 fantasy points in four of his last six games and in each of those contests he received 20+ minutes.  He actually has logged over 35 in three of those contests and I could easily see him playing that much again tonight since New Orleans is so short-handed once again as they head to Indiana. ∗∗
