High Value C

Nikola Jokic-Denver Nuggets (5,900): Jokic  has picked up more regular minutes with Kenneth Faried out and has now managed at least 22 minutes in seven of his last eight games.  In those seven contests, he has reached 32 fantasy points in five including on Wednesday when he totaled 37 fantasy points on 18 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Tonight, he’ll face the Lakers who give up a ton of fantasy points to opposing centers ad have been among the worst in that category all season (currently fifth-worst). As long as foul trouble doesn’t rear its ugly head, Jokic should be a good play at this price tonight. ∗∗

Tim Duncan-San Antonio Spurs (4,200): There is no way to predict how much Duncan or LaMarcus Aldridge will play tonight with some players getting the night off.  Sometimes that results in larger workloads while other times their minutes are limited as well.  While I don’t think LA is a good gamble at his price, Duncan could end up being a steal at under 5K.  He has at least 20 fantasy points in six of his last eight games and exploded for 42 fantasy points on Monday against the Hornets when he had 16 points, ten boards, four blocks, two assist, and two steals.  He’s risky due to his uncertain amount of playing time, but he definitely has the ability to go off at a very affordable price.

Andrew Bogut-Golden State Warriors (4,200): Bogut returned to the court with 26.5 fantasy points on Wednesday in LA pulling in ten rebounds to go with his four points, four assists, and two blocks.  He doesn’t score a ton of points, but his non-scoring stats are good enough to still make him worth a look at under 5K.

Jusuf Nurkic-Denver Nuggets (3,900): Nurkic only played 16 minutes against the Sixers on Wednesday but he had five points, five boards, and four blocks for a total of 22.25 fantasy points. He has at least 21 fantasy points in four of his last five games and is in great matchup against the Lakers.  His minutes are still limited, but as long as he’s cleared to play tonight, he’s a great cheap option with a ton of upside to like.

Salah Mejri-Dallas Mavericks (3,800): Mejri has clearly passed Zaza Pachulia as the Mavericks big-man of choice, and he has looked very good in his last two games both of which came against the Trail Balzers.  Mejri had double-doubles in both those games with 46.5 fantasy points on Sunday and 34 fantasy points Wednesday.  The tricky thing tonight is that he goes up against the Warriors who don’t let teams go big against them.  I like D-Lee as a better fit tonight, but Mejri has shown his immense upside and is a good way to go cheap tonight.
