High Salary PF

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,300): Boogie is back tonight against the Suns after taking a day off to rest his bruised knee on Wednesday.  He had four straight double-doubles before his rest day and hardly ever falls short of 45 fantasy points. He’s a very low-risk investment since his “down” games are still in the 40’s and he should have success down low tonight against Phoenix who he only played 27 minutes against in their meeting earlier this season but still had 32 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and a block.  With a heavier workload, he’s a spendy but solid option tonight. ∗∗

Draymond Green-Golden State Warriors (8,100): Green’s price has caught up with his recent production, so he’s no longer a value play, but he still has a ton of upside to like tonight against the Mavericks.  He has at least 31 fantasy points in nine straight games and put up a very nice 54.25 fantasy points against the T-Wolves on Wednesday. Green had 35 fantasy points against Dallas last week, but since he’s at home tonight I expect a bigger number although a full-return of 40+ fantasy points isn’t a lock making him a 2-star option for me tonight.

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (7,800): While Millsap doesn’t have quite the recognition that Draymond has as a top fantasy option, he has been rolling lately and is in a good matchup tonight.  He posted 41.25 fantasy points against the Wizards on Wednesday with 17 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals. He faces the Bucks tonight which should lead to even better numbers. On the season, Milwaukee has allowed the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF and Millsap had a pair of good games against them with 27 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks in their last meeting after 23 points, ten rebounds, six assists, and four blocks in their first contest.  Millsap is my top PF tonight if you have the money to spend at the position. ∗∗

Gorgui Dieng-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,100): Dieng is another PF option that produces in multiple categories even though he doesn’t quite do it at the level of Millsap and Green.  Dieng has posted at least 33 fantasy points in five of his last six games, though, after putting up a huge double-double against the Kings on Wednesday when he finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 44.5 fantasy points. He and Karl-Anthony Towns form a dominant due down low, and the Wizards don’t have much to slow them down tonight. ∗∗

Julius Randle-Los Angeles Lakers (6,000): Another young PF loaded with potential in their matchup tonight is Julius Randle who takes on the Nuggets who have been without Kenneth Faried for their last four games. Denver allows the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PF, and Randle comes into tonight’s matchup with some momentum after three double-doubles in his last four games.  he had 19 points and 15 boards in Phoenix on Wednesday for 40.75 fantasy points, and he’s a solid pick to produce near that level again tonight as he faces the Nuggets at home who he had 17 points and seven boards against when he faced them at the beginning of the month.
